Egg
Decorating
Saturday, April 3rd
2pm-4:30pm
Join us at the Carriage Barn to learn about Pysanky, or Ukrainian Easter eggs, and try this ancient craft yourself. Made using a written-wax batik method, Pysanky incorporate different symbols and designs, and are brightly and intricately colored. They are traditionally made as gifts for family and close friends, and a bowl of Pysanky displayed prominently in one’s home is said to be good luck. Instructor Susan Clark will teach you about this wonderful Ukrainian tradition and guide you step-by-step through the process of decorating eggs for your own home.
