Making Maple Syrup |
|
Join us for our second season of the maple syrup process at the farm. Each family will learn the science and history behind the making of maple syrup, tap a tree, hang their sap bucket, and return to the farm to collect the sap when it's running! Sap collection is determined by weather so families will receive regular updates and should plan on returning throughout February and early March. Don't worry if you are unable to collect the sap from your bucket due to travel plans, we will do it for you! We will process the sap in our maple sugar shack and hope to send each family home with their very own taste of Ambler Farm maple syrup.
Introduction + training on Saturday, February 7th, 10:30am to 11:30am OR 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
Ages: Open to all grades.
Fee: $60 per family (member); $65 per family (non-member)
Registration: Contact Kevin Meehan (667-6941) to find out if there are available spaces.
