Summer Program: Adventures at the Farm
This unique farm program provides an opportunity for students to experience farm life. Students will not only learn about the plants in our educational gardens but have opportunities to work in the gardens.
Spending time with our sheep and goats is a favorite activity as well as checking to see if our chickens have laid eggs. Baby chicks, rabbits and visiting animals provide engaging opportunities for kids to interact and learn. Each week is sure to include woodworking, hayrides, planting, harvesting, hands on projects, animals, cooking and more! Students will be divided by grade levels for appropriate grade level activities. Each week consists of different activities.
Registration for our Summer programs is now open.
Our preschool program is full but there is still room in our 1-7th grade program!

Apprentice Farmer Summer Program
Week 1: July 8th
Week 2: July 15th
This exciting program enters its second year this summer. Developed for students entering grades 8 through 11 in Fall 2013. Students will meet at Ambler Farm each morning and start the day by working with our animals. They will then work in the production gardens alongside Ambler Farm’s agricultural director under the guidance of Jim Hunter, the Wilton High School teacher who founded, created and oversees the Wilton High School Organic Garden. On Wednesday of each week, our apprentice students will board a bus to work at Millstone Farm, another Wilton organic treasure that not only focuses on produce but also on the raising of healthy animals for food. On Friday, our group will travel to Muscoot Farm to take in a bit of farm history as well as visit their animals. This program is designed to immerse the kids in organic farming and help them understand the importance of how we raise our food. This is a highly interactive program that provides kids with an opportunity to get involved in exciting farm activities.
The cost for this program is $330/week
